In Kiev, in 2010, the maximum permitted speed on urban roads will not exceed 60 kilometers per hour. As in previous years, as writes KP.ua, there were the road sections where the road signs were hung with limit of 80 kilometers per hour.
Road signs "80 speed limit" have been removed from these streets for the winter, abnormally dangerous period, replacing them with traffic signs "60 speed limit", and returned to the place in the spring. However, in 2010, as stated by the Head of Traffic organisation Service, public utility company "Kievdorservis" Vladimir Doynichka, road signs "80 speed limit" could not be installed at this time. Such decision was adopted by the local traffic police on the basis of statistics of accidents.
Only in the Ukrainian capital of such sections there were 14 pieces. "Kievdorservis" did not specify whether the road signs "80 speed limit" would returned on the Kiev streets to the end of the year.
